About Us

The College of St. Joseph the Worker Foundation (the "Foundation") is a 501 (c)(3) public charity to be operated for the development of additional financial support for the College of St. Joseph the Worker, Steubenville, Ohio (the "College"). The College has a unique curriculum in the Catholic intellectual tradition. Combining faith and reason, theology and philosophy, it reaches truths that not only enlighten the mind, but also perfect the soul. Being a school, the College is a public charity and its mission is to form students into effective and committed members of their communities by teaching them the Catholic intellectual tradition while training them in skilled and dignified labor.

Referred to as a "supporting organization," the Foundation is to be organized and operated exclusively for the benefit of the College, the "supported organization." The Foundation will be "operated, supervised, or controlled" by the College. The College will appoint officers and key employees of the College, who are not members of the College's governing board, to be the governing board and officers of the Foundation, in accord with Section 509(a)(3) of the Internai Revenue Cede (26 U.S. Cede Section 509.)
